International Women’s Day

March 8 is International Women’s Day.

International Women’s Day (IWD) has been around for over a hundred years, as have many of the issues still impacting women’s advancement. Today is a day to celebrate women’s achievement and raise awareness about discrimination.

The 2026 theme for IWD is Give To Gain, emphasizing the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organizations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase. Giving is not a subtraction, it’s intentional multiplication. When women thrive, we all rise.

Today and every day, Good Shepherd joins the movement to forge a more inclusive world for women.
