The SAM Adult Day Program welcomes adults of all ages (18+), including both older adults and adults with diminished abilities.

The SAM Program is an adult therapeutic day program which offers clients a structured “day out” in a safe and supportive environment. SAM program sites offer a variety of social, recreational, mentally and physically stimulating activities to participants, with the program goals of Stimulation, Activation, and Motivation.
The saying “Use It or Lose It” not only applies to our bodies, but it also applies to our brains. Physical or cognitive challenges are accommodated at SAM with a focus on what a person can do instead of what they can’t do.
We offer:
- A variety of physical, social, creative and mentally stimulating activities
- Safe SAM STEPS exercise programs
- A hot, full-course meal at noon
- Assistance with personal care needs, including medications
- Transportation assistance
- A registered nurse for health assessments and counselling
- Respite from caregiving responsibilities
*Note: There is a daily program cost. A subsidy may be available for those who qualify.
